Slovak Environment Agency (SEA) is the professional organization of the Ministry of Environment and was established in 1993. SEA, as a public buyer, is the project partner in PRONTO Consortium. SEA focuses on several topics, mainly on the environment, international cooperation, environmental assessment and reporting and implementation of the EU funds. The environmental education and training is also very significant amongst activities. SEA performs several educative and training activities not only for schools, but also for employees and public community.
Through the project PRONTO and the innovation which will be procured, SEA´s aim is to renovate the unused outdoor space at the HQ´s building and to use the area effectively. SEA will create the functional infrastructure in the outdoor premises – the Outdoor environmental education and training centre. The outdoor space will be multipurpose – not only for the environmental education and training, but also for meetings and workshops for all the employees of SEA, students and public community. The infrastructure will connect different environmental and technological elements with the natural vegetation. SEA will follow several principles, e.g. respecting the principles of sustainable development, reflecting the climate changes, supporting the “greener” behaviour, using innovative and natural materials and supporting the empirical training. The successful implementation of the project will be the local and national example of best practices in the environmental education.
